Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking a Deep Clean Assistant to join the Domestic Services relief pool. You will perform deep cleans across wards and departments, using appropriate cleaning equipment, and support infection-control standards to keep areas safe for patients and staff.

This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) requires reliability, enthusiasm and flexibility, with duties including maintenance tasks, waste management, and assisting nursing staff with decanting

Qualifications

• Looking for reliable, enthusiastic and flexible individuals who have experience in cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Carry out deep cleans to equipment, furniture, fittings and services within an area, including walls, ceilings and floors, as per infection control policies.
• Maintenance: routine basic maintenance and minor repair to hospital equipment or facilities.
• Portering: movement of furniture and equipment and disposal of clinical and non-clinical waste.
• Assist nursing staff in movement of patients, particularly decanting of patients.
