Spire Alexandra Hospital in Chatham, Kent is seeking an experienced Chef to join the friendly catering team in a full-time position. You will prepare high-quality meals for patients, staff and visitors while upholding strict food hygiene standards in a professional healthcare setting.

In this role you will assist with stock control, food preparation and service across hospital wards and the on-site restaurant. A strong customer service mindset and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook.
• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent).
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to a high standard.
• Assist with food preparation and handling.
• Serve meals to patients, staff, consultants and visitors.
• Support catering services in restaurant and ward areas.
• Manage stock rotation and date checks, store safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Follow health and safety policies.
