Job summary

St Columba's Hospice Care is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. The role involves preparing meals for patients, visitors and staff, with 37.5 hours per week across 4 shifts in a 7-day rota.

The post offers a starting salary of £30,212 WTE with a £3,000 per annum shift allowance, rising to £31,363 after 12 months following a satisfactory review, pro rata for a 37.5 hour week. Hours are 37.5 per week with a 4-out-of-7 rota including weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
• Good communication skills; experience in healthcare setting is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for patients, visitors and staff.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
• Supervise staff and volunteers as part of the kitchen team.
