St Columba's Hospice Care is seeking a dedicated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. The role involves preparing meals for patients and staff, upholding high standards of cleanliness, and supervising kitchen volunteers.
The position offers a 37.5-hour week on a rota, including weekends and bank holidays, with a competitive salary and pension benefits. The Starting Salary is £30,212 WTE plus £3,000 pa Shift Allowance, rising to £31,363 after 12 months upon satisfactory review.

We are currently seeking a keen and motivated Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen team at St Columba's Hospice Care. St Columba's exists to give everyone who needs it the very best hospice care. We're an independent charity at the heart of our local community, offering free, flexible and person-centred palliative care and support to our patients and their families.
Our Chefs play an important role in delivering a high standard hospitality service to individual patients, visitors and staff within the Hospice, and you will be involved in preparing meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and the supervision of staff and volunteers.
The kitchen is open 7 days per week, providing breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will work 4 days out of 7 and workdays are allocated on a rota basis, which includes weekends and bank holidays.
Previous experience as a Chef, the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, together with good communication skills are essential for the role. Experience of working within a healthcare setting would be an advantage. You must also be prepared to work shift patterns which include weekends and bank holidays.
Criminal Record Check: This post requires the post holder to have a criminal record check. An application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before the successful candidate can begin in post. The hospice will pay/reimburse the cost of this check.
