Job summary

St Richard's Hospice invites applications for a Kitchen/Cafe Assistant to join our catering team in Worcester. The role combines kitchen duties with cafe service, including making coffees and serving meals to patients, staff, volunteers and visitors.

The position is full-time on a fixed-term 12-month contract, with weekend and public holiday work required. A passion for catering, excellent customer service and food safety knowledge are essential, together with a flexible approach to working

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a catering environment and in a customer service role is essential.
• Be adaptable to work across kitchen and cafe areas, including barista style coffees.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with preparing and serving meals for patients, staff, volunteers and visitors.
• Washing up and cleaning in the kitchen and café areas.
• Serve in the cafe, make barista style coffees, sandwiches, and assist customers.
• Support quality and presentation of food with a focus on good service.
