Job summary

Marie Curie is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the Facilities Team at our Outstanding CQC rated Hospice in Bradford. The role reports to the Head Chef and involves daily catering duties, food preparation, and maintaining hygiene standards to provide high-quality meals for patients, visitors, staff, and volunteers.

The role offers a pro rata salary on the Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale (Band 2) and requires 3 days per week, including weekends and bank holidays, 6.25 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all food hygiene regulations (Food Safety Manual).
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Awareness of health and safety issues in the workplace.
• Experience or knowledge of working in a catering department or kitchen.
• Ability to maintain a clean, tidy, safe, and hygienic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily provision of all catering services at the Hospice.
• Support kitchen operations and food preparation under the Head Chef/Chef.
• Help maintain level 5 food hygiene rating and high-quality food service.
• Possess flexibility and a well-presented appearance with strong organisational skills.
