Job summary

Marie Curie West Midlands Hospice in Solihull is seeking a skilled Chef to join our Facilities team. You will prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for patients, staff, volunteers and visitors, while upholding food safety, hygiene and presentation standards.

You will supervise Catering Assistants, assist with staff rotas and supplier ordering, design varied menus and deliver excellent customer service. This full-time role offers competitive pay, annual leave, pension and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Essential: City & Guilds 706/1/2 or Level 2 NVQ in Food Production and Cooking.
• Basic food hygiene certificate required.
• Relevant catering experience and staff supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for patients, staff, volunteers and visitors.
• Assist Head Chef in supervising Catering Assistants and managing rotas.
• Assist with staff recruitment and supplier selection/ordering.
