Job summary

Moya Cole Hospice is seeking a Domestic Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, families, visitors and staff. You will work within the Housekeeping team, carrying out cleaning duties in line with policy, infection prevention and NHS standards.

The role requires compassion, reliability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with opportunities to develop leadership skills within a supportive framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping within healthcare or hospice settings.
• Proficiency with NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness.
• Ability to use basic IT tools for data entry and records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness and presentation in all hospice areas.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and COSHH regulations.
• Complete cleaning records and documentation accurately.
• Attend mandatory training and team meetings.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to support patient care.
