Job summary

British Garden Centres in Osterley is seeking a Plant Area Manager to lead our plant section within a large garden centre group. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, high-volume plant turnover, and maintaining high standards of visual merchandising for customer best experience.

The ideal candidate will have plant management experience or a strong background in horticulture, knowledge of plants, and a willingness to work weekends as part of a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Plant Manager within the industry is preferred; however, applicants with a proven plant management background and knowledge of plants will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Working in the plant area is a high-volume environment with a fast turnaround.
• The successful candidate should be physically fit as this is a very hands-on role.
• A good knowledge of plants is essential to the role, as is good customer service and a high standard of visual merchandising.
• The successful candidate will preferably possess either a horticultural qualification, be in training, or have practical horticultural experience.
