Job summary

Amegreen Education in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Horticulture Lead to establish and run our new horticulture provision for learners aged 11-18, combining practical learning with therapeutic education.

You will design growing spaces, lead a team of Learning Mentors, and partner with schools and families while prioritising safeguarding and life skills. This role offers ground-up development, extensive CPD, and supportive leadership within a growing AMEE educational arm.

Qualifications

• Experience in horticulture or related land-based industry.
• Experience working with children or young people in education/SEND/Alternative Provision.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation and ongoing development of the horticulture provision.
• Design productive growing areas (polytunnels, raised beds, outdoor spaces).
• Develop and supervise a team of Learning Mentors.
• Design and deliver engaging horticulture programmes for learners.
