Job summary

As a Horticulture Supervisor, you will lead a team of horticultural staff, managing plant care, customer interactions and contributing to the overall success of the garden centre.

You will mentor a team of horticultural staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the successful execution of daily tasks and projects, as well as oversee the health and maintenance of a wide variety of plants.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of horticultural staff to ensure high-quality plant care and customer service.
• Mentor and train staff to complete daily tasks and garden projects.
• Oversee plant health, watering, feeding, pest and disease management.
• Perform Duty Manager tasks in the main store, including cashing-up and banking.

Job description

As a Horticulture Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and success of our horticultural operations. You will be responsible for leading a team of horticultural staff, managing plant care, customer interactions and contributing to the overall success of the garden centre.

You will mentor a team of horticultural staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the successful execution of daily tasks and projects, as well as oversee the health and maintenance of a wide variety of plants, ensuring they are properly watered, fertilised, and free from pests and diseases.

You will also be required to carry out Duty Manger tasks in the main store as and when required which will include cashing-up and banking duties.

Full-time over 5 days includes alternate weekends.
