Job summary

Red 5 People Ltd is recruiting a Horticulture Tutor Assessor to deliver Level 2 City & Guilds horticulture programmes. You will deliver mornings in a classroom, with afternoons dedicated to practical activities and assessments in landscaping, plant production and grounds maintenance.

You will support no more than 20 learners across two programmes, with additional support staff on hand, and with opportunities for extension beyond July 2027.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Horticulture is required.
• Assessor or teaching qualification (AET/PTLLS) is required.
• Strong practical horticulture experience is essential.
• Ability to support and develop others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom-based learning in the mornings.
• Lead practical activities and assessments in the afternoons.
• Support up to 20 learners across two programmes.
• Coordinate with support staff to deliver the programme.

Are you an experienced horticulturist who enjoys sharing your knowledge and helping others develop practical skills? We're recruiting for a Horticulture Tutor Assessor to deliver Level 2 City & Guilds horticulture programmes, helping learners develop the skills and confidence to build careers in the sector. You'll spend the mornings delivering classroom-based learning, with afternoons focused on practical activities and assessments covering landscaping, plant production and grounds maintenance. You'll be supporting no more than 20 learners across two programmes, with additional support staff on hand, so you won't be doing everything yourself!

What we're looking for:

• Level 3 qualification in Horticulture.
• Assessor qualification or teaching qualification (AET/PTLLS).
• Strong practical horticulture experience.
• Full driving licence and access to a car.
• Someone who enjoys supporting and developing others.

The details:

• Salary: £29,000 - £32,500.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 4.45pm.
• Location: Predominantly Enfield, with occasional delivery in Mottingham.
• Contract: Initially until July 2027, with a good possibility of a further 12-month extension.
