Job summary

Farleigh Hospice is a high performing organisation providing specialist palliative and end of life care for people with life limiting illness in the Mid Essex region. We are looking for a highly motivated Stock Assistant to join our Maldon Warehouse team.

You will assist with donated stock, including cleaning, polishing, steaming, ticketing and pricing under the Manager's direction. You will also help with stock rotation, merchandising, Gift Aid preparation, till coverage and unloading vans.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dealing with donated stock including cleaning, polishing, steaming, ticketing and pricing under the Manager's direction.
• Review items and needs before selling, such as PAT testing.
• Assist in stock rotation and placement, including lifting and moving heavy furniture.
• Assist in merchandising the shop floor including movement and culling as directed.
• Manage Gift Aid donations and prepare for sale.
• Provide till point cover as necessary.
• Assist in unloading Farleigh Vans loaded with stock.

Our team at Farleigh has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of the community we serve and we are looking for highly motivated Stock Assistant to join our Maldon Warehouse team.

You will:

Assist in dealing with donated stock as required, including cleaning, polishing, steaming, ticketing and pricing under the direction of the Manager

• Review items and needs before selling, such as PAT testing
• To assist the manager in stock rotation and placement, which may involve the lifting and movement of heavy furniture
• To assist in merchandising the shop floor, including movement and culling as directed
• To manage Gift Aid donations effectively, prioritising their preparation for sale
• To provide till point cover as necessary
• To assist in unloading Farleigh Vans loaded with shop stock.
