Homeless Support Worker

Location: Swansea

Hours: Full-time and Part-time hours available (flexible shift pattern, weekdays/weekends)

Shift Pattern: 8am - 8pm / 8pm - 8am

Salary: £13.68-£27.36 (including holiday pay)

About the Role

Are you seeking a new opportunity within the homeless sector? Do you want the flexibility to work when and where you want? Vetro is actively recruiting experienced Homeless Support Workers to work in various homeless hostels throughout Swansea and surrounding areas on a flexible, ongoing basis.

We are looking for passionate and driven individuals to offer support and guidance to people experiencing homelessness, mental health issues, learning disabilities, recovering from substance misuse, those who have spent childhood in care, or are fleeing domestic violence. You should have a strong value base and an empathetic approach to supporting individuals in supported housing environments.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Ensure hostel occupants comply with hostel rules and regulations
  2. Provide emotional support to hostel occupants
  3. Explain and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures within the hostel
  4. Provide relevant information to visitors of the hostel
  5. Liaise with Housing Officers to meet client needs
  6. Promote equality and diversity throughout the organization
  7. Maintain high standards of customer care
