Chelmsford City Council’s Strategic Housing Service is expanding its Homeless Team. We are recruiting Homeless Officers to work with people to prevent homelessness and determine Council duties under homelessness legislation.

Due to the expansion of our Homeless Team, Chelmsford City Council’s Strategic Housing Service are recruiting Homeless Officers to join our busy Homeless Team, working with people to prevent homelessness and make decisions as to the Council’s duties under the homelessness legislation.
This is a challenging role but one that is also very rewarding, with the knowledge that you are working with others to make a real difference to help those in difficult situations.
The successful applicant will have the necessary skills to apply a customer-focused, proactive problem-solving approach in order to successfully work with people experiencing homelessness and those with complex needs. Effective decision-making skills, case management experience and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines are essential criteria of the role.
