Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) Pharmacy Services is seeking a Pharmacy Support Worker Higher Level to provide essential administrative support within the Homecare Medicines Team. Based at the Pharmacy Distribution Centre, you will help ensure timely home deliveries and maintain accurate records, under supervision and in collaboration with Pharmacy Technicians and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Basic numeracy and literacy demonstrated by 3 Standard Grade qualifications or equivalent.
• Good IT skills and practical knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Willingness to work towards SVQ qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supplying medicines to patients' homes via the Homecare Service.
• Process Homecare prescriptions and create purchase orders.
• Maintain patient homecare records and respond to queries by email/phone.
• Receive goods into the department and update the stock system.
