Job summary

Friends of the Earth is hiring a Community Organiser to work with local communities, activists and action groups to build power and lead campaigns for meaningful local change. The role is homebased in Hull with in-person meetings as required.

You will help strengthen grassroots organising, develop leadership, and support community-led priorities, contributing to environmental action across the region.

Qualifications

• Ability to build trusted relationships with diverse communities and partners.
• Experience in community organising and campaigning to influence decision-makers.
• Facilitation and leadership development through training and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Support communities to identify issues, build power and campaigns that matter locally.
• Develop leadership and support community-led campaigns for local change.
• Coordinate with activists and local action groups to drive action and change.
