Conveyancing Fee Earner – Holiday Cover – Residential Property – Remote Working (UK)

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancer to join a respected and well-established residential property team on a fully remote, holiday cover basis. This role is ideal for a conveyancer looking to step away from managing a permanent caseload while still playing a vital role in progressing property transactions.

In this role, you will provide essential cover and support for fee earners who are on leave, ensuring continuity of service and smooth progression of residential conveyancing matters through to exchange and completion.

The Role

This flexible, home-based position involves stepping in to manage and progress cases during periods of staff absence. You’ll liaise directly with clients, estate agents, and other professionals to ensure active matters are handled efficiently and in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide interim support for conveyancers on leave, managing their active files as required
• Ensure all transactions continue to progress smoothly to exchange and completion
• Communicate effectively with clients and introducers via telephone and email
• Title check freehold and leasehold purchases where necessary
• Use a modern case management system in accordance with internal procedures
• Deliver a professional, high-quality client experience with or without assistant support

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or highly experienced Conveyancer
• Strong background in managing residential property transactions
• Excellent knowledge of UK property law and conveyancing practices
• Confident in handling cases independently and under time-sensitive conditions
• Experience using the Land Registry portal and online search tools
• Accreditation with bodies such as the Law Society or Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) is desirable
