Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a home visits optical assistant covering South Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire and Sheffield. You will drive to patients' doors and provide essential eye care, helping with basic tasks they cannot complete at home.

The role supports the community with compassionate, accessible optometry services. Based in or near Sheffield or Hull, you will join a team delivering care in patients' homes across a defined region, with a car allowance and weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Previous optical experience.
• Must have a full UK driving license.
• Be confident using new systems as well as tablet and/or laptop.

Responsibilities

• Provide eye care to patients at home during home visits.
• Support patients with basic tasks they may not manage without you.
• Deliver compassionate customer care and help with basic administrative tasks as needed.

Ready to take your skills on the road? As a home visits optical assistant at Specsavers, you can do just that. You'll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who aren't able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you'll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn't be able to do without you. Essentially, you'll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.

Our business: You'll cover the South Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire and Sheffield region providing care to vulnerable patients. Ideally, we would like it if you are based in Sheffield or Hull area.

We have a wonderful existing team of dedicated people from optical and administrative backgrounds, who ready and waiting for you to meet.

Key responsibilities

• Previous optical experience
• Must have a full UK driving license

Desirable experience

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer facing environment
• Experience in optics
• Be confident using new systems as well as tablet and / or laptop
• You’ll be provided with a car allowance of £2,400 per annum

What’s on offer?

• £26,853 per annum
• Increments if you are Cert 3 or Cert 4 Qualified
• Monday to Friday - core hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm (Flexibility required)
