Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD in Hull is seeking passionate Home Tutors to support students not attending mainstream school. This commission-funded role delivers one-to-one tutoring at students' homes and in community settings to re-engage learners with education.

You will plan and adapt lessons, build positive relationships, monitor progress and provide feedback to families and professionals involved in each learner’s journey.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• An enhanced DBS check and safeguarding checks will be required.
• Patience, resilience, adaptable and understanding.

Rediscover the Joy of Learning.Are you a passionate and dedicated tutor who wants to make a real difference to young people's lives?We are currently recruiting Home Tutors to support a number of students across the Hull area who are not currently attending mainstream school. The Local Authority has commissioned personalised educational support for these young people, delivered within their own homes and community settings.This is a fantastic opportunity to provide tailored one-to-one tuition, rebuild confidence and help young people reconnect with education.

The role

As a Home Tutor, you will:

• Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition in students' homes or community settings.

About you

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have experience working with children or young people.
• Ideally have experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH or additional needs.
• Are patient, resilient, adaptable and understanding.
• Can motivate young people who may have become disengaged from education.
• Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Are confident working independently and managing their own sessions.
• Teaching or tutoring qualifications are desirable, but relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
• An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory safeguarding checks will be required.
