Overview

TeacherActive are one of the biggest SEND recruitment agencies and are currently seeking a Home Tutor to support the learning and development of children and young people with special needs. They work in partnership with Local Authorities to provide a high standard of education for students aged 6 to 18 with MLD, ASD, and ADHD needs.

Responsibilities

• Start immediately as a positive, enthusiastic Home Tutor with a focus on core subjects: Maths, English, and Science/primary curriculum.
• Deliver 1:1 support (and small group sessions where appropriate) to students across Key Stage 1 through Key Stage 5 (KS1–KS5).
• Work in students' homes or public settings, adapting to each student’s needs and goals.
• Remain confident and adaptable when supporting students with MLD, ASD, and ADHD.

Qualifications

• QTS or ECTs are welcome to apply.
• Experience working with students who have MLD, ASD, and ADHD.
• A calm, patient, and caring personality.
• Good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
• Experience supporting students in education on a 1:1 or small group basis.
