Durham County Council is expanding its Home Support Worker team at Hawthorn House, delivering step up/step down care for young people and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. Roles require early start shifts, a 7-day rota with enhanced pay for evenings, nights and weekends.

Qualifikationen

• 4 GCSEs (9-4/A-C) or equivalent relevant qualification and/or a relevant Care qualification.
• Applicants without a care qualification will be supported to achieve the Care Certificate within a set timescale.

Aufgaben

• Provide specialist care interventions using Positive Behaviour Support and other therapeutic approaches to stabilise complex behaviours.
• Administer medication and assist with moving and handling; receive regular supervision and ongoing training.
