Dunlarg Care Home in Keady, County Armagh, is recruiting a Home Manager to lead a 58-bed facility, delivering high-quality, person-centred care. The role combines strategic leadership with regulatory oversight, financial stewardship, and staff development to create a safe, welcoming home environment for residents and families.

Applicants should be UK NMC registered with 5 years’ experience in the UK, show strong leadership, and have a good grasp of budgets and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Home, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care.

• Adhere to company standards and all legal requirements related to fire, health and safety, licensing, weights and measures, care and trading standards, and employment.
• Ensure Nurses hold a current UK NMC pin and manage employee files per RQIA standards.
• Collaborate with regional management and directors.
• Manage the Home budget to ensure financial success and stability.

Situated in the tranquil countryside of Keady village, County Armagh, Dunlarg Care Home offers a welcoming and supportive environment with easy access to local shops and public transport. Our home comprises two units, providing care for up to 58 residents. We offer a broad range of care services including General Nursing and General Residential Care, with specialised support for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs, and Physical Disabilities under 65. The Role

The Home Manager is the heart and soul of our Homes, embodying leadership, compassion and dedication to the wellbeing of residents and team members alike. The Home Manager plays a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment where residents feel safe, valued and respected and where staff are empowered to deliver high quality care with professionalism and clinical excellence. Home Managers oversee every aspect of the Home operation, from ensuring regulatory compliance and financial sustainability to fostering a culture of high care standards and continuous improvement. The Home Manager leads by example, inspiring their team to uphold the highest standards of care while also providing support and guidance. Beyond operational tasks, the Home Manager serves as an advocate for residents and their families, listening to their needs, addressing concerns and championing their rights to dignity, choice and autonomy. They build meaningful connections with residents based on trust, rapport and create a sense of community and belonging within the Home. The role of the Home Manager is indispensable to the success of the Home. Their leadership and expertise ensure that residents receive the highest quality of care, making a profound and positive impact on the lives of our residents.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Home, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to the residents.
• Ensure all records and documentation are accurate and up to date by maintaining and implementing appropriate systems to ensure compliance.
• Build positive working relationships with support functions so staff are properly inducted, trained, motivated and supported to do their jobs to the best of their ability.
• Adhere to company standards as well as legal and statutory requirements relating to fire regulations, health and safety, licencing, weights and measures, care and trading standards, and employment.
• Ensure all qualified Nurses hold a current UK NMC pin and employee files are in line with RQIA standards.
• Work alongside regional manager and directors
• Responsible for working to the Home's budget, ensure financial success and stability.
