Job summary

Kilfillan House Care Home in Berkhamsted is seeking a Home Manager to lead a dedicated team and deliver outstanding, person-centred care in a warm, community-focused setting. Based in Berkhamsted (HP4 3LZ), this permanent, full-time role guides budget, compliance and resident wellbeing with a strong focus on continuous improvement.

• Strong clinical knowledge and a LMCS/RMA or equivalent management qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary care team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care.
• Manage all aspects of the home including budgets, operating profit and regulatory compliance.
• Develop strong internal and external relationships to support the Bupa brand with commissioners and Local Authority.
• Occasionally work out of hours as needed to ensure smooth operation.

About the role

As well as being able to lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team, we’ll look to you to provide outstanding, personalised care to our residents. Always putting the needs and wellbeing of our residents first - finding new ways to enrich their lives.

You’ll be managing all aspects of the home, identifying business opportunities whilst effectively managing budgets, taking responsibility for the operating profit of the home, and ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained across all relevant areas. Competent in creating and developing strong internal and external relationships, you’ll play an important role in strengthening the Bupa brand as a trusted healthcare partner with key audiences including Local Authority and Primary Care Trust commissioners.

For this role you will need to become registered with the regulator and, you also may occasionally be required to work out of hours or evenings.

Set in Berkhamsted, Kilfillan House is accessible by public transport with Berkhamsted station, just a 15 minute walk away. The home provides care for people living with Parkinson's, Motor Neurone Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. With a real friendly, community feel, the team are passionate about providing person centred care, championing dignity and independence - organising a wide variety of activities meaning there's no typical day here.
