Job summary

Care UK is seeking a passionate and energetic Home Manager to lead our care home operations, delivering high-quality care to residents in a dementia-friendly setting. You will provide strong leadership to staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the service.

The role requires robust budget management, excellent relationships with relatives and external partners, and a commitment to upholding our Caring, Passionate and Teamwork values.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years Home Manager experience.
• Care of older people in a Residential and Dementia setting.
• Ability to control and manage a budget and accounts.
• Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Health and Safety Legislation.
• Ability to raise standards through innovation and new ideas.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the care home and lead all staff.
• Provide leadership and management to ensure a caring environment aligned with guidelines and regulations.
• Ensure effective financial and commercial management of the home in line with policy.
• Maintain high satisfaction with the service and build positive relationships with relatives, residents and external agencies.

Job description

To take responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of the care home and to achieve an industry leading standard. Provide leadership and effective management for all staff employed in the home. Promote a caring environment that is delivered according to latest guidelines, best practice, legislative and regulatory requirements. Ensure the effective financial and commercial management of the home in accordance with company policy. Ensure that a high level of satisfaction with the service is achieved and maintained as well as maintaining excellent relationships with relatives, residents, purchasers and external agencies to build and maintain a positive reputation in the local community.
