Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking an experienced Community IV Nurse to support home-based intravenous therapy, including TPN. You’ll visit patients at home to start treatment, assess needs, and teach carers to manage therapy safely, with input from dietitians, pharmacists and hospital teams.

Applicants must have current NMC registration (adult or children's nurse), at least one year post-registration, and a full UK driving licence; there is strong independence and multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as an adult or children's nurse.
• Minimum of one year post-registration nursing experience.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in line with procedures and guidelines.
• Support patients receiving IV therapy and TPN in the community and at home.
• Visit patients to start treatment, assess needs and provide follow-up care.
• Teach and support patients, carers and families to manage treatment confidently.
• Monitor patient progress and report concerns or changes.
• Keep clear clinical records and notes.
