Job summary

Inizio Engage is seeking a registered nurse for a home-based Community IV Nurse role. You will visit patients at home to start IV therapies, monitor progress, and teach patients and carers to manage treatment safely.

You will work closely with dietitians and pharmacists, maintain accurate electronic records, and participate in ongoing specialist training and service improvements. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NMC registered as adult or children's nurse.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration nursing experience.
• Experience delivering patient care in clinical or community settings.
• Experience working independently and managing workload.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Experience managing IV access devices (PICC lines/CVADs).

Responsibilities

• Visit patients at home to start treatment, assess, and provide follow-up.
• Support patients receiving IV therapy and TPN in the community and at home.
• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care per guidelines.
• Teach patients, carers, and families to manage treatment safely.
• Monitor progress and report concerns promptly.
• Keep clear clinical records, including electronic notes.
• Collaborate with the wider healthcare team for best outcomes.
• Build trusting relationships and provide personalised care.
• Care for clinical equipment and supplies safely.
• Participate in team meetings, service improvements, and training.
