Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is launching a countywide Home First service on 1 September 2026. We are seeking a registered practitioner to lead learning, development and clinical growth for our workforce, ensuring staff have knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver outstanding care at people’s homes.

Qualifications

• Registered practitioner with NMC registration.
• Experience in learning, development and clinical growth.
• Ability to deliver competency assessments and training in community/home care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical education, induction and competency-based learning for Home First staff.
• Assess and support staff during probationary periods; provide coaching and workplace-based assessment.
• Travel across Gloucestershire to deliver training in diverse community settings.
• Collaborate with the Band 6 Practice and Learning Facilitator and Home First leads to identify learning needs.
