Job summary

Totally Living Care Limited in Salisbury is offering a Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship as a Home Care Worker Apprentice. Start your career in health and social care, earning while learning, with hands-on experience supporting older adults to stay independent at home.

The apprenticeship runs 13 months, 30 hours per week, £8.00 per hour with a pay increase after 12 months for 19+ year olds. You'll complete online training with a dedicated tutor and gain the qualification.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; full training provided.
• Must be 18+ and hold a full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to complete DBS checks and safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes.
• Promote dignity, independence, choice, privacy and respect for all service users.
• Support with personal care and daily living activities.
• Carry out light domestic duties including laundry, ironing and shopping.
• Assist with collecting prescriptions and supporting medication administration where trained and authorised.
• Accurately record care visits, daily notes and medication records using the rostering platform app.
• Monitor and report changes in service users' health, wellbeing or circumstances.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and company policies at all times.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions and mandatory training.
• Work towards achieving your apprenticeship qualification while developing your care skills.

Apprenticeship Overview

• Salary: £8.00 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
• Working Week: Monday to Sunday on a rota basis, shifts between 07:00-14:00 or 16:00-22:00
• Hours: 30 hours per week
• Duration: 13 months
• Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship standard qualification
• Online training supported by our dedicated tutor
• Location: Totally Living Care Limited, 63-65 Fisherton Street, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP2 7SU

As a Home Care Worker Apprentice, you will:

Specific Requirement

You must be aged 18+ and have a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle as you will be required to travel between service users across Salisbury and surrounding areas. If you do not have access to a vehicle, we will not be able to accept your application.
