Job summary

Totally Living Care Limited is offering a Home Care Worker Apprenticeship to start a rewarding career in health and social care. You will gain hands-on experience supporting older adults in their homes while earning and learning through the Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship.

The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rota, with shifts 07:00-14:00 or 16:00-22:00, and salary at £8.00 per hour with a pay increase after one year for 19+ year olds.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes.
• Promote dignity, independence, choice, privacy and respect for all service users.
• Support with personal care and daily living activities.
• Carry out light domestic duties including laundry, ironing and shopping.
• Assist with collecting prescriptions and supporting medication administration where trained and authorised.
• Record care visits, daily notes and medication records using rostering app.
• Monitor and report changes in health, wellbeing or circumstances.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and company policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions and mandatory training.
• Work towards achieving apprenticeship qualification.

Apprenticeship Overview

• Salary: £8.00 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
• Working Week: Monday to Sunday on a rota basis, shifts between 07:00-14:00 or 16:00-22:00
• Hours: 30 hours per week
• Duration: 13 months

As a Home Care Worker Apprentice, you will:

Specific Requirement

You must be aged 18+ and have a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle as you will be required to travel between service users across Salisbury and surrounding areas. If you do not have access to a vehicle, we will not be able to accept your application.
