Job summary

Hales Homecare in Stevenage is seeking a Home Care Assistant to support individuals to live independently at home. Weekend shifts available with a pay rate of £13.64 per hour and mileage at £0.30 per mile. No experience is required as full paid training is provided by our Internal Training Team.

You will join a friendly team delivering high-quality care with opportunities to develop skills through funded training and progression paths.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping others and committed to delivering high-quality care and support.
• Reliable and honest team player with a positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• No experience required; we have had people join from hospitality, retail, and customer service backgrounds.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting).
• Supporting medication and meal preparation.
• Helping with light domestic tasks and grocery needs.

Home Care Assistant - Weekends

Based in Stevenage

Pay Rate: £13.64 per hour + mileage at £0.30 per mile

Weekend shifts: 7am-2pm & 4pm-10pm

Areas Covered: Stevenage and Letchworth

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.

Your Role as a Home Care Assistant

As a Home Care Assistant, you’ll support individuals in Stevenage and Letchworth to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. Every visit is an opportunity to make someone’s day brighter and yours more fulfilling.

Responsibilities include

• Assisting with personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Supporting medication and meal preparation
• Helping with light domestic tasks and grocery needs
• Providing companionship and emotional support
