Job summary

Unitywaycare in Huntingdon is seeking a compassionate Home Care Assistant to provide personal care and companionship to clients in their homes. You will have a consistent caseload, allowing you to build meaningful relationships.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week at a pay rate of £12.40 – £13.50 per hour, and requires eligibility to work in the UK. Experience is welcomed but not necessary, as full training will be provided.

About this role

As a Home Care Assistant at Unity Way, you'll spend your day visiting a small, consistent caseload of clients across Huntingdon and the surrounding villages. Visits are generously timed, mileage is paid, and you'll have the same families each week, so you build real relationships rather than rushing in and out as a stranger.

What you'll do

• Deliver personal care visits with dignity and patience
• Support clients with bathing, dressing, meals and mobility
• Prompt and administer medication safely (training provided)
• Keep clear, accurate visit notes via our mobile app
• Flag any changes in a client's condition to the clinical lead
• Be a friendly, reliable presence for clients and families

What we're looking for

• Compassionate, patient and a good listener
• Reliable transport and a UK driving licence
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Good written and spoken English
• Care experience welcome but not required. We train fully
