Barnsley Shared Lives is looking for caring individuals in the Barnsley area to provide care, support and accommodation in a family-based setting.

Carers are self-employed and paid an allowance for the support provided. A DBS check is required, and overseas checks may apply for candidates who have lived abroad. Flexible, person-centred approaches are valued to help vulnerable adults live a full life with a caring family.

Qualifications

• Experience in care, either in a professional or personal capacity, can be flexible and have a person centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, support and accommodation in a family-based setting.
• Work with Shared Lives team to deliver safe, person-centred support.
• Be available on a full-time, respite, day care or sessional basis as needed.
