Job summary

Bristol Shared Lives is a Bristol City Council run service seeking self-employed Shared Lives Carers. You would host a person in your home, sharing daily life to promote independence and personal growth within Bristol city boundaries.

Roles include long-term placement, respite/short breaks, or day support. Responsibilities cover care, support, supervision, and helping the person access community activities, with DBS checks and training as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Willingness to participate in assessment and approval process to become a carer
• Care experience preferable but not required
• Ability to provide care, support and supervision to a vulnerable adult

Responsibilities

• Provide long-term placement, respite/short breaks, or day support from your home
• Offer care and support while sharing daily life and activities with the person you support
• Ensure safety and independence as much as possible and help access community activities
