Job summary

Platform Housing Group invites applications for a Repairs Surveyor role. This home-based position includes regular travel across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.

Part-time 28 hours per week, with salary £33,728–£37,475 per annum pro rata depending on experience. You will assess assets via repairs and damp, mould and condensation surveys, collect accurate data, maintain registers, and support planning and improvements while keeping customers informed and processing contractor

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role undertaking damp and mould, complex works, compliance and other construction-related surveys.
• Knowledge of Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
• Good technical ability and the ability to provide technical advice on a wide range of construction, maintenance and repair issues.
• A sound understanding of construction to deliver a broad range of property-related activities.
• Willingness to complete training courses to undertake the core tasks and objectives of the role.
• ONC or equivalent qualification in Building/Construction is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess Platform's assets by carrying out repairs and damp, mould and condensation (DMC) surveys.
• Gather accurate property information to keep asset databases up to date; support planning and inform future programmes of work.
• Maintain damp and mould registers and manage asset data; work with colleagues to drive improvements in efficiency and service standards.
• Communicate with customers; raise work orders and process contractor payments.
