Job summary

Dorset HealthCare is seeking a Night Nurse to deliver autonomous care in patients' homes as part of the Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service visiting team. The role involves direct patient care, triage, and collaboration with nurses, paramedics, and GPs in a community setting.

The position requires a full UK driving license, DBS disclosure (enhanced/standard) paid by the Trust, and a flexible, team-oriented approach to support palliative care and wellbeing in the community.

Qualifications

• Nursing registration with the NMC is required.
• Ability to provide autonomous nursing care with support from a healthcare assistant.
• Experience in community/home-based care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous nursing care for patients in their own homes.
• Lead or support a designated shift as needed and assist with triage and clerical duties.
• Drive Dorset HealthCare IUCS vehicles to community, residential, or healthcare settings; coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.
