Job summary

EFT Systems is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to service and install life safety systems across the Yorkshire area from a home-based base. You will handle reactive maintenance, small projects, and customer liaison, with KPI-driven performance and on-call duties.

The role requires a clean UK driving licence, DBS/BS7858 screening, and competence with a PDA plus Word/Excel. A strong teamwork ethos and clear reporting are essential.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Fire & Security / Life Safety Systems Engineer.
Strong fault-finding and first-time fix capability.
Experience servicing, maintaining & commissioning fire and security systems.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Able to pass DBS check and BS7858 security screening.
IT competent (PDA, Microsoft Word & Excel).

Responsibilities

Reactive maintenance and servicing of fire & security systems.
Small works installations and commissioning.
Managing van stock and ordering equipment.
Producing technical surveys to support quotations.
Supervising subcontractors and supporting apprentices.
Maintaining clear communication with customers.
Completing documentation via electronic PDA.
