Job summary

Guardian Jobs in the United Kingdom is seeking a Service Engineer for a well‑established, employee‑owned company that designs, manufactures, installs and services cranes, goods lifts, tyre presses, lighting winch systems, forklift trucks and bespoke machinery for the nuclear decommissioning industry.

Based from home with a company van, you will service and maintain our equipment at customer sites across the Midlands and Central England.

Qualifications

• Minimum mechanical experience with strong diagnostic skills.
• Basic understanding of DC electrical circuits.
• Experience using computer apps to log on and off customer jobs.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on lifts and cranes.
• Attend breakdowns and field service calls.
• Set out work on site in accordance with RAMS issued.
• Liaise with the site manager or operator of the premises.
• Liaise with parts department to ensure stock in the company van.
