Job summary

Samuel Frank is recruiting a Field Service Engineer to support the commissioning, servicing and maintenance of automated systems across Europe and beyond. The role is home-based with international travel, typically 3–6 weeks away, and will involve direct customer interaction on-site.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on electrical, controls and mechanical skills, with PLC commissioning and fault-finding experience.

Qualifications

• Electrical and PLC commissioning for automated systems.
• Knowledge of conveyors, material handling equipment.
• PLC fault-finding on live systems, not full software development.
• Minor mechanical works such as belts, brackets, etc.
• Some SCADA exposure and SEW motors/drives familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Commission and service automated systems across Europe and beyond.
• Fault-find PLCs on live systems (not full software development).
• Conduct planned servicing and maintenance at existing sites.
• Carry out minor mechanical works (belts, brackets, etc.).
• Interact directly with customers on-site worldwide.
• Travel typically 3–6 weeks with rest periods; home-based when not on site.
