Job summary

EC Recruitment Group seeks an experienced Clerk of Works / Site Inspector for a fully home-based role covering projects across Norfolk and Suffolk. You will travel from home to sites with rare travel to the London office.

The position focuses on maintaining construction quality, compliance and workmanship standards on residential projects, with independent site visits and detailed written reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Previous Clerk of Works or construction-inspection experience.
• Strong knowledge of building construction and quality standards.
• Able to produce clear, professional inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Undertake regular inspections of new-build and refurbishment projects.
• Monitor progress and verify works comply with drawings, requirements, Building Regulations.
• Identify defects and report workmanship issues.
• Maintain defect trackers and end-of-defects inspections.
• Produce detailed inspection reports with photographs.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, clients and project teams.
