Job summary

EC Property Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Clerk of Works / Site Inspector for a genuine home-based role, covering projects across Norfolk and Suffolk.

You will travel from home to sites with rare visits to the London head office, undertake inspections, verify compliance with drawings and Building Regulations, and provide clear written reports for clients and project managers. Salary £50,000-£55,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Previous Clerk of Works or directly relevant construction-inspection experience.
• Strong knowledge of building construction and workmanship standards.
• Capable of autonomous working and managing site visits from home.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Undertake regular inspections of new-build and refurbishment projects.
• Monitor progress and verify compliance with drawings, regulations and warranty standards.
• Identify defects and maintain up-to-date defect trackers.
• Produce detailed inspection reports supported by photographs.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, clients and project teams.
