Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd. is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join a proactive property services team. You will deliver a customer-focused capital works service, manage schemes, and support asset management with independent, technical surveying expertise.

The role involves home-based work with travel across North Lancashire and Yorkshire, requiring strong independent work and a robust knowledge of health and safety, CDM regulations, and statutory obligations.

Qualifications

• Degree in a construction related discipline or relevant experience.
• Significant demonstrable experience in a surveying role in housing associations, private practice, local authorities, or similar.
• Full contract administration responsibilities for major works projects including tender docs, cost analysis and budget control; site management and contractor supervision.
• Robust understanding of health and safety legislation, CDM (Principal Designer experience) and statutory obligations.
• Knowledge of Building Safety and Compliance best practices and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional surveying and technical support to deliver Asset Management strategy.
• Work independently to support capital investment, cyclical, fire safety and statutory maintenance services, on time and to budget.
• Manage and visit schemes across the patch.
