Job summary

The National Trust is seeking a Holiday Cottage Cleaner at Killerton Estate near Exeter. Internally, the role is called Holidays Operation Assistant, and you will prepare each cottage between guest stays, keeping it pristine, well-presented and welcoming for arriving guests.

This part-time post is five hours a week, with one shift, Monday to Saturday, typically from around 10:00–10:30 to 3:00 pm. Shifts include bank holidays when required, and PPE is provided to support safe, efficient turnover.

• Team player, but happy to work on your own initiative.
• Well-organised and adaptable; willing to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare the cottage to be pristine and welcoming for guests on changeover days.
• Report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing.
• Replace broken items from store supplies if needed.
