Randstad CPE is seeking a reliable Hoist Operator for a major residential development in Reading. Immediate start available.

You will operate passenger and goods hoists to move personnel, tools and materials safely across floor levels while maintaining high safety standards. The role requires a valid CPCS A20 or NPORS card with CSCS, a current CITB Health, Safety & Environment test, and a proven track record on large construction sites.

Qualifications

• CPCS Card A20 or NPORS with CSCS for Passenger/Goods Hoist.
• CITB Health, Safety & Environment test within the last 2 years.
• Proven track record operating hoists on large residential/commercial sites.
• Full PPE and strict adherence to safety procedures.
• Must have right to work in the UK and be eligible to live/work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating passenger and goods hoists to transport personnel, tools, and materials to various floor levels.
• Carrying out pre-start daily safety inspections and maintenance checks on the hoist equipment.
• Managing load weights strictly in line with safety regulations to prevent overload.
• Communicating effectively with site management, subcontractors, and ground crews via radio or signals.
• Ensuring the hoist cage and landing gates remain clear of debris and trip hazards at all times.
• Reporting any mechanical faults or safety concerns immediately to the Lifting Supervisor.
