City Calling at Bristol Airport is seeking an experienced Hoist Operator to safely operate construction hoists and transport materials across the site. The role requires a safety-conscious, reliable individual who can follow site procedures and work as part of a team on a busy airport environment.

Hours are 11:00am to 7:00pm, with background checks including DBS and possible Safety Critical Medical depending on site requirements.

City Calling is recruiting an experienced Hoist Operator to work at Bristol Airport.

Hours: 11:00am - 7:00pm

Position: Hoist Operator

Role Overview

The Hoist Operator will be responsible for the safe operation of construction hoists used to transport materials, equipment and personnel across the site. The role requires a safety-conscious and reliable individual who can follow site procedures and ensure all hoist operations are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the site hoist safely to transport materials, equipment and personnel as required.
• Follow signals and instructions from authorised site personnel.
• Carry out daily pre-operational safety checks on hoist machinery, cables and control systems.
• Monitor hoist movements to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Ensure loading limits are not exceeded and loads are secured correctly.
• Report equipment defects, faults or safety concerns to the site supervisor immediately.
• Comply with all site health and safety regulations and operating procedures.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Valid right to work in the UK.
• Valid CPCS A20 Hoist Operator ticket.
• Able to provide five years of checkable work history.
• Able to provide five years of residential address history.
• Satisfactory DBS check.
• Must be willing to undertake regular drug and alcohol testing.
• Safety Critical Medical may be required, depending on site requirements.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work as part of a team.
