Job summary

TAIT in the United Kingdom seeks a Hoist Technician to assemble controllers, hoists and wiring harnesses from engineering diagrams. You will perform functional tests, calibration and load testing to ensure safety and performance, signing LOLER certificates where required.

You will also mentor new technicians, support repairs and recalibration of returned products, and maintain a clean, organized workshop following health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical or electrical engineering is encouraged.
• Experience assembling and wiring control systems and lifting equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assemble controllers, hoists, wiring harnesses and sub-assemblies from diagrams and specs.
• Conduct functional testing, calibration and load testing to meet safety standards.
• Mentor and train new technicians in manufacturing and testing practices.
• Carry out repairs, servicing and recalibration on returned products.
