TAIT is seeking a Production Technician 2 to assemble and wire control systems and lifting equipment, converting technical diagrams into tested products. You will mentor new technicians, uphold health and safety, and contribute to continuous improvement to ensure reliable on-time delivery.

The Production Technician 2 is responsible for assembling and wiring control systems and lifting equipment,specifically controllers and hoists, using technical diagrams to convert components into functional, testedproducts. This role is an individual contributor position that emphasizes precise execution and dependableoutput, with an added responsibility of mentoring and training new employees. By delivering reliable equipmenton time, you enable production teams and end users to "Create Moments that Move People," ensuringseamless installations, effective lifting operations, and smooth customer experiences. Operating at a tacticaland operational level within a local or regional manufacturing site, the role carries responsibility for finalassembly accuracy, workflow contribution, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role is alsoresponsible for carrying out repairs, servicing and recalibration on any returned products.
As a seasoned Production Technician 2, you take the lead in assembling controllers, hoists, wiring harnesses,and sub-assemblies from technical diagrams and engineering specifications, applying advanced wiringtechniques and quality checks. You conduct functional testing, inspection, and calibration to guarantee eachproduct meets stringent safety and performance standards. In addition to your core responsibilities, you mentorand train new technicians, helping them master best practices for consistent quality and operational efficiency.You uphold a clean, well-organized, and hazard-free workshop, adhere strictly to all health and safetyprotocols, and proactively report risks. Continuously, you identify inefficiencies or defects, recommend processimprovements, and partner with internal teams including Production Management, Quality Assurance, Testing,Stores, and Continuous Improvement to ensure reliable output, streamlined production, and on-time delivery.

While formal qualifications are not mandatory, candidates with a background in mechanical or electrical
engineering, or related fields, are encouraged to apply. Practical experience in assembling and wiring controlsystems and lifting equipment is advantageous. Additionally, experience with tools such as multi-meters, basicsoldering, and knowledge of quality standards like ISO 9001 can enhance a candidate's suitability for therole.
