Job summary

Workshop Recruitment in Wimbledon is seeking a Hod Carrier for a short-term site assignment (1-2 weeks) on behalf of a well-established bricklaying company. The role involves carrying bricks and materials, mixing sand and cement, and supporting bricklayers with day-to-day tasks. You must be physically fit, reliable, and have a valid CSCS card plus two references; commuting distance to Wimbledon is required. £18 per hour, 1-2 weeks.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS card is essential.
• Previous Hod Carrier or similar construction experience is essential.
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting.
• Reliable, punctual and able to provide two references.
• Must live within a reasonable travel distance of Wimbledon.

Responsibilities

• Carry bricks, materials and goods up and down scaffolding.
• Mix sand and cement as required.

Wimbledon SW20, £18 per hour, Temporary 1-2 weeks

Are you a hardworking, physically fit Hod Carrier with previous site experience within this sector, and a valid CSCS card? Workshop Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established bricklaying company seeking a reliable Hod Carrier for a 1-2 week assignment in Wimbledon area. The role involves carrying bricks, materials and goods up and down scaffolding, mixing sand and cement, and supporting bricklayers with day-to-day site duties. The successful candidate must be physically fit, hardworking and dependable, must provide 2 x sources of references, you will maybe aske to carrying out other labouring duties such as site clearance, site set up, must live within good travel distance of Wimbledon.

Duties

• Carry bricks, materials and goods up and down scaffolding.
• Mix sand and cement as required.
• Supply bricklayers with materials and equipment.
• Assist with moving and handling building materials around the site.
• Support the site team with general construction duties.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.
• Complete manual handling and other duties as required.

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Valid CSCS card is essential.
• Previous experience as a Hod Carrier or in a similar construction role is essential.
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and manual work.
• Hardworking, reliable and punctual.
• Experience mixing sand and cement.
• Confident carrying materials up and down scaffolding.
• Good awareness of site health and safety.
• Able to provide two satisfactory work references.
• must live within good travel distance of Wimbledon.
