Job summary

Erskine Stewart Melville in Edinburgh is seeking a Hockey Assistant to join the PE and Sport department on a temporary, term-time basis. The role is 30 hours per week at £18 per hour, until March 2027, with duties to support the Head of Hockey in delivering a high-quality programme across Junior and Senior School.

You will assist planning and delivery of hockey training, help with fixture administration, and work closely with department staff and the wider school community.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching hockey with young people.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and delivery of hockey training sessions for pupils across the Junior and Senior School.
• Support the administration and organisation of hockey fixtures.
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Hockey, PE and Sport department staff and wider school community.
