HORIBA MIRA in Nuneaton is seeking an Instrument Calibration Technician for a permanent, part-time role (20 hours per week). The position involves hands-on calibration across a range of instruments, ensuring calibration, maintenance and documentation follow approved procedures and industry standards.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with instrumentation, electronics, calibration or testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job description

We're looking for an Instrument Calibration Technician to join our Calibration team in Nuneaton on a permanent, part-time basis (20 hours per week). This hands-on technical role supports the delivery of calibration services across a wide range of instrumentation, ensuring equipment is calibrated, maintained and documented in line with approved procedures and industry standards. Working within our calibration facilities, you'll support both internal and external customers while contributing to the quality and accuracy of engineering and test activities.

Please note; this role requires working shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out calibration activities in accordance with approved procedures and industry standards.
• Produce calibration certificates and technical reports.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and equipment databases.
• Support fault identification and investigation activities.
• Assist with the development and improvement of calibration methods and processes.
• Support customer calibration activities when required.
• Work collaboratively to maintain a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
